T.
Marie Nolan
T. Marie Nolan
was born in Connecticut in 1954, one of eleven children, and has
spent most of her adult life living in the South. She worked
in libraries until the mid-eighties when she began to do artwork
full-time, which she sells at folk artfairs such as Kentuck,
JazzFest, and Who-Fest. She creates funky images with powdered
glass on the surface of flat glass, which are then melted together
in the kiln at high temperatures. The themes of her paintings
are angels and devils, saints and sinners, and the various imaginary
characters that inhabit T. Marie's mind, all with a twist of humor.
