R.
A. Miller
R.A.
Miller was born and raised in Gainesville, Georgia. He is a preacher
and became an artist on the advice of his guardian angel, who
told him to build a forest of brightly colored whirly-gigs around
his house and sell them. He paints and cuts tin to portray angels
and devils, unusual animals, flags and Uncle Sam, and "Blow
Oscar" shows up a lot in his drawings to portray his cousin
Oscar who would come by and blow his car horn as he pulled up.
His work hangs in the House of Blues and his work shot into the
spotlight when the band REM used his artwork on an album cover.
