CM
Laster
C.M. and Grace
Kelly Laster were both artists from an early age in rural Kentucky,
but each had a tough youth and struggled with drugs and alcohol.
They overcame their hardships, got themselves clean, moved to
Chicago, and began to work turning recycled materials into art.
In Chicago, they say they "fell in love over a dumpster"
and decided to marry and move back to Kentucky armed with a new
direction for their lives. They were encouraged by the Reverend
Howard Finster to use art as their ministry. Their artwork covers
a wide range of subjects, from the Bible to Elvis, music and humor.
The work is delightful with vivid images and bold colors....and
Oh, yes! They have an art car called the "Rockin' Holy Roller".
