They overcame their hardships, got themselves clean, moved to Chicago, and began to work turning recycled materials into art. In Chicago, they say they "fell in love over a dumpster" and decided to marry and move back to Kentucky armed with a new direction for their lives. They were encouraged by the Reverend Howard Finster to use art as their ministry. Their artwork covers a wide range of subjects, from the Bible to Elvis, music and humor. The work is delightful with vivid images and bold colors....and Oh, yes!
