Driving up the gravel road to his place you would reach a clearing at the top and behold a small, but brightly-painted wood house surrounded by a colorful environment of angels and critters. Homer used a chain saw to carve out all kinds of critters and (on his wife's advice) decorated them with polka-dots which came to be his trademark. Homer loved to come out and greet visitors, play a practical joke or two. He was a gracious and most enjoyable man, who will be dearly missed in Beechgrove.<BR><br><br> <center><a href=index.html> Back to Artists List </a></CENTER></FONT> </BODY>
